Summary
Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, process pumps, etc.. Should also have good general skills including electrical, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, piping, sheet metal, etc. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Candidates should also have a strong work ethic, possess a safe work history. Will be part of an organized labor union.
Duties
* Ability to perform routine service, setup, adjustment and repairs/modifications to paper converting machines such as
cartoners, winders, tissue winders, orbital saws, casepackers, etc.
* perform Predictive & Preventative tasks associated with equipment.
* Identify and correct defects in equipment during maintenance checks
* familiar with the mechanics behind unwind technology, paper folding, cutting & packaging equipment
* fabrication of parts
* replacement and adjustment of endless and laced conveying belts
* installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of typical ball & roller bearings
* repair and troubleshooting of reducers, angle gearboxes and PIV transmissions
* conveyor system repairs
* repair of chain & timing pulley drive assemblies
* practice/understand rigging fundamentals to change out large components
* proficient at using hand tools, portable electric tools & typical shop stationary equipment
* basic machinist skills to cut and broach keyways on drive line components
* component rebuild skills
* build additional skills such as welding, hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting & repair, basic electrical (fuse replacement, small motor replacement, etc.)
* Identify, lead, plan & organize work, parts and labor
* Work with operations to resolve issues
Minimun Qualifications include:
* Journeyman level skills. 3 – 5 years of experience
* Must be at least 18 years of age upon hire
* Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications Include:
* A strong commitment to working effectively in a team environment
* Basic computer skills
* Strong communication and leadership skills, including self-motivation
* High degree of 'people' skills and be able to effectively communicate with many different people on a daily basis.
* Ability to work in a manufacturing atmosphere safely and follow safety practices and regulations.
* Work at heights, in pits and in confined spaces.
* Plan work, identify parts and learn the computerized maintenance system for ofering job materials or writing work orders.
* Work overtime when required.
* Work with no supervision or in a team to complete work on time.
* Work with operations to repair or solve issues.
